'One Day In Your Leaf' by FØN

'Everyone's drawing Michael Jackson how he used to look but not FØN (that's me),' writes FØN. 'I present: Michael Jackson in his newest incarnation...'

That'll be the propofol.

'Alienated' by Jonathan Edwards

You have no idea how made up I was to receive an email this morning from Jonathan Edwards, the man behind the ineffable Draw Serge, and the inspiration for this blog. Not only did he express pleasure that his blog has spawned another - having already spawned Exdrawminate!, an illustrative tribute to daleks - but he even sent along a Jackson of his very own. And it's pretty damned amazing.

Check out Jonathan's general art blog here. He's rather brilliant.

'Crude' by Catofstripes

This is the wonderful thing about Michael Jackson: he inspires so many different emotions, from adoration to disgust, from bewilderment to dismay, from excitement to utter repugnance. Here the wonderful Catostripes has combined the mystery of the man (the rather special bejewelled glove Jackson often wore) with something rather more prurient.

Excellent work.

Now quick, somebody draw something less vile so that this is not the first thing new visitors see. (Shame on you, Stripey.)

'Bad' by NotKeith

The awfully talented NotKeith again, with something of a homage to Banksy. I love that the Michael silhouette conjures up the word 'D'oh!' every time I look at it.

Now it's over to you.

'The Man in the Mask in the Mirror' by Stan

I stole the mask from Brazilian artist Marcos Chaves and very amateurishly attached it to Michael's face in order to hint at hiding one's light - or indeed one's darkness - under a bushel - or indeed a slightly sinister smile; and to bring intimations of shrouds and clouds and tears of a clown; of camouflage, disguise and hidden despair.

Yeah?

I love art, me.

'Badass' by NotKeith

'A young Jackson,' writes NotKeith. 'He has a badassedness about him, along with a vulnerability which, for a moment at least, makes us forget he's a filthy nonce.'

NotKeith of course has a wonderful blog with which he doesn't do nearly enough, but one day... one day... you mark my words.

'If You're Thinking Of Being My Baby...' by Stan

Unfortunately I'm no artist, so this isn't very good. Still, I like to think I have captured some of sadness, poignancy and the latent tragedy of Michael. The drawing is pen and ink with an emboss effect over the top. Much like Michael himself.

Can you do better? Please say you can.
